Overview

Anno 1800 plays well at 21:9 (3440x1440) with no real complaints beyond black bars during loading and expedition screens. At 32:9, it's playable but rougher: the world view does expand hor-plus with correct FOV, but quest/notification markers get pushed out toward the far edges of the screen where they're easy to miss, and the main menu renders as an anamorphic 16:9 image stretched to fill the space. No dedicated mod or Flawless Widescreen module exists — this is WSGF-documented native engine support with known rough spots.

Fixes

No known fix yet.

No dedicated fix or mod exists for quest markers sitting at the far edges of the screen, or for the stretched main menu at 32:9 — this is simply how the engine renders at this aspect ratio.
