Overview

Elden Ring renders natively at 16:9 and adds black bars to fill wider displays — per PCGamingWiki, the widescreen render is there but deliberately covered rather than exposed. Flawless Widescreen is the standard fix: it removes the bars, adds proper FOV controls, and can strip the vignette/chromatic aberration too. Menus and the HUD still weren't designed with the extra width in mind, so they stay edge-locked and stretched even with the fix applied.
