Overview
Once a match loads, Age of Empires IV fills a 32:9 screen and the RTS camera extends outward reasonably (hor+). The main menu, lobby browser, and pre-game screens only render in a 16:9 box in the center with black bars — a longstanding, still-unresolved complaint on the official forums. There's no real fix for the menu bars; the only related community tool (aoe4-window) forces the whole game into a 16:9 window instead, a different trade-off, not a cure.
