Overview

During actual racing, Forza Motorsport (2023) genuinely uses the extra width of a 32:9 panel with a proper Hor+ camera and no black bars. The catch is everything that isn't live track action: main menus, the garage, replays and photo mode all fall back to a pillarboxed 16:9 image. A community SUWSF-based patch from modder Lyall reportedly removes the menu/replay pillarboxing, but it's recommended for offline play only — resolution/UI injection patches carry anti-cheat risk in a game with online races.

Working with fix
Gameplay was already fine natively; installed Lyall's ultrawide patch just to clean up menu/replay pillarboxing for single-player and career mode.

Verified via Forza community forums and Steam discussions — gameplay is native Hor+ ultrawide, but menus/replays/photo mode remain pillarboxed by default.
