Overview

WoW's gameplay camera is one of the better Hor+ implementations among older MMOs — action bars and Edit Mode UI can be freely repositioned toward the center on a 32:9 screen, and the game world fills the whole panel correctly. Blizzard's in-engine cinematics are hard-locked to 16:9 with black bars regardless of resolution, and some 32:9 users report stretched visuals in exclusive fullscreen (switching to Windowed Fullscreen/Borderless generally resolves it). No mod or Flawless Widescreen plugin needed or exists.

Fixes

No known fix yet.

No fix or mod exists for the hard-coded 16:9 cinematic black bars — Blizzard has never added an option to extend them. Switching from exclusive Fullscreen to Windowed (Fullscreen) mode resolves the separate 32:9 stretching issue some players report.
